John Wayne Gacy Victim Identified Using DNA Evidence (VIDEO)
Cook County Authorities have announced that they have finally identified one of the eight previously unknown victims of serial killer John Wayne Gacy.
Gacy went on a serial killing spree more than three decades ago. It has now been revealed that William George Bundy, a 19-year-old High School dropout, was one of at least 33 people Gacy killed. The murders took place over a seven year period from 1972 to 1978.
The find has come after Cook County sheriffs asked for DNA from relatives of people who disappeared in the 1970s.
Laura O'Leary, Bundy's sister has announced: "Today is a terribly sad day for my family, especially my brother and I, But it is also a day that provides closure.”
She added: “For over 30 years our family has dealt with unanswered questions regarding Bill, but now with technology and the efforts of Sheriff Tom Dart and his detective Jason Moran, those questions are answered.”
