'John Wick 2' news, cast, spoilers: Sequel starts filiming, no plots revealed

When "John Wick" came out, many people were intrigued by the idea of Keanu playing another kick-ass character. However, the success of the film amassed was totally unexpected. Not only did the humble film succeed financially but it was also well-received by critics. It seems that fans of the film no longer have to wait to see Keanu Reeves reprise his role as "John Wick 2" is set to begin filming this fall.

There hasn't been a confirmed plot about the seque yetl. The only news known now is from a report by Coming Soon about the start of production. One thing for certain, though, is that Reeves will be having a reunion with the original directors David Leitch and Chad Stahelski, as well as screenwriter Derek Kolstad. Although the story line is concealed for now, Leitch and Stahelski did talk about possibilities of building a franchise for "John Wick."

Leitch and Stahelski shared, "We have ideas for days and without blinking twice we know we can outdo the action from the original. It's the matter of story and how much you like the character. That's always the most important. If there's great action but you have a character that no one likes and doesn't have charisma you're not going to watch it… So we want to make sure we have a story and a character that everybody loves and then we'll dress it with action that we promise will be awesome."

The first movie didn't seem to have intended to create a string of movies, but the story seems to have tied loose ends quite well and so it's hard for fans to assume what the second installment can bring this time. One thing for sure is that whoever the new antagonist would be, it must be an inevitable threat to convince John to step out of retirement again.
