'Jurassic World 2' Spoilers: Original Cast Could Return
The upcoming "Jurassic World 2" could be featuring some of its original cast from the 1993 film "Jurassic Park."
There are reports revealing that Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, who portray Owen and Claire, respectively, could be joined by the original cast of "Jurassic Park." There are rumors that Laura Dern, who took on the role of Dr. Ellie Sattler, and Sam Neill, who played Dr. Alan Grant, will be making their appearance in the film.
The speculation of the original cast's return came from the official Twitter account of Jurassic World, which posted, "If@starwars can include original cast in their new trilogy, so can @JurassicPark! RT if you agree! #JurassicWorld"
Other speculations on the film reveal that the sequel could portray Howard's Claire as the main protagonist. The director of "Jurassic World" Colin Trevorrow recently shared some details that ignited rumors regarding Claire. According to Movie New Guide, he stated, "It's her [Claire] story that mirrors this changing world. Owen has s**t to deal with. The two of them opened Pandora's Box in Jurassic World and each of them are responsible for different elements of it in different ways."
While these details have yet to be revealed, Trevorrow did share some confirmed details about the upcoming film. He explained that he will no longer be directing the film, but instead, he will be working as a producer. With that, he explained that they are still developing the story for the upcoming sequel.
He also stated that the film will focus more on the dinosaurs. As reported by Coming Soon.net, he said, "Dinosaurs and man, separated by 65 million years of evolution, have been thrown back into the mix together. I don't necessarily mean in scale. I feel very strongly that it's not about more dinosaurs or bigger and better dinosaurs."
"Jurassic World 2" is expected to release in the United Kingdom on June 7, 2018 and on June 22, 2018 in the United States.
