'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom' News: New Promo Banner Features Owen with T-Rex and Blue

Universal Pictures has launched a new banner for "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" at the recent Licensing Expo in London, featuring a closer look at the new Fallen Kingdom Tyrannosaurus Rex and Blue. The promotional banner was uploaded by Twitter user @MegaPowerBrasil and looks like a reused image from the first "Jurassic World."

According to reports, Universal Pictures kicked off the Licensing Expo 2017 by holding private parties intended to promote its brands and films in the pipeline, including the "Jurassic World" franchise. The festivities were reportedly held at the London Palladium and Aqua Kyoto in London, with writer Colin Trevorrow and Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays Claire Dearing, making a surprise appearance.

Since the celebrations were held in private, only a few got to catch a glimpse of the new footage from the latest sequel. Luckily for fans, there was a public show floor that featured a great deal of "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" teasers, including the one that shows Owen (Chris Pratt) with a T-Rex and Raptor. While the image does not reveal anything about the plot of the upcoming film, its ominous and volcanic background teases a major catastrophe.

As of now, very little is known about the plot of "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom," and fans have yet to know how the film will connect with the previous "Jurassic" films. Despite that, Trevorrow said in a previous interview that the upcoming sequel would be pretty much like a Spanish horror flick. A couple of months ago, Jeff Goldblum's Ian Malcolm was confirmed to join the cast, making "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom's" link with the previous films even more mysterious.

There are speculations that the first official trailer for the film will premiere next month, but Universal Pictures has yet to confirm that. Whether or not a new trailer will be unveiled soon, the new promotional banner that was launched at the recent expo only signals that the marketing campaign for the film is already kicking into gear.

"Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" is set to be released on June 22, 2018.
