After having languished in the development stage for more than 10 years, with a release date pushed back from an initial 2005 launch not once but several times, the Steven Spielberg-produced sci-fi-action-adventure-horror flick set in infamous Isla Nublar will finally see the big screen in 3D/2D and IMAX theaters across North America.

A new viral clip of the dinosaur-gone-amuck movie franchise shows the wild nature preserve's security forces, and introduces new character, Vincent D'Onofrio as Vic Hoskins, head of the park's security operations responsible for keeping visitors safe from Jurassic World's previously prehistoric reptiles.

While Hoskins and his team appear to be doing an excellent job, the introduction of a new and dangerous hybrid dinosaur wrecks havoc on their security measures.

The newcomer, dubbed Indominus Rex, is touted to be "the most fearsome dinosaur ever to be displayed at Jurassic World," Screen Rant writes. Reaching full galloping speeds of up to 30 miles per hour, it also boasts of an estimated 160-decibel roar.

Indominus Rex was bred to boost the parks visitor numbers, and the newly released trailer is structured in the form of a PR clip advertising park owner Simon Masrani's (played by Irrfan Khan) accomplishments, which include Jurassic World.

Apart from the latest released trailer, a new 3D movie poster was sighted at the New York Toy Fair last Friday, featuring two Velocirapors (assumed to be Delta and Echo, judging from the scar on the snout of one), the film's legendary Tyrannosaurus Rex, a Pteranodon and a Dimorphodon in the foreground of the Jurassic World's park gates.
