'Jurassic World' News: Posters and Trailer Released (VIDEO)

"Jurassic World" director, Colin Trevorrow teased fans of the series with new posters of the film on his Twitter account, followed by the release of a new trailer a couple of days later.

The latest installment in the "Jurassic Park" franchise just got a new trailer following director Colin Treverrow's release of three new posters for "Jurassic World," which opens in theaters two months from now.

Beginning last Friday, Trevorrow, who is directing the latest sequel to the hit dinosaur series, teased three new movie posters via his Twitter account. The first featured actress Bryce Dallas Howard, in her role as park operations manager, Claire Dearing, looking out at a glass wall with the new hybrid dinosaur, Indominus rex, gazing back at her on the other side.

The second movie poster features a water-dwelling Mosasaurus about to swallow what appears to be a shark, while a young park visitor views the spectacle from behind aquarium glass.

The third image shows Chris Pratt speeding along on a motorcycle with a group of Velociraptors pacing alongside him, all of them seemingly intent on reaching a goal.

Universal Pictures also released the latest trailer Monday showing the opening of the "Jurassic World" theme park where thousands of visitors have flocked to view the new animal hybrid, Indominus rex. Pratt is shown, animal trainer-like, facing off against three Velociraptors and calming them down with his outspread arms.

"Jurassic World" is set over two decades after the events of the first "Jurassic Park" movie, when Isla Nublar has been acquired by the Masrani Global Corporation and revived as a theme park, fulfilling its original creator and owner, John Hammond's dream.

Pratt, who plays one of the park's in-house dinosaur trainers, Owen Grady, is engaged in behavioral research on Velociraptors. Meanwhile, the park's geneticists have created a new hybrid mutant dinosaur to boost the park's attendance. Unfortunately, the Indominus rex proves more than they can handle, and it escapes to terrorize a park full of tourists.

"Jurassic World" also stars Vincent D'Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Omar Sy, B.D. Wong, Irrfan Khan, Brian Tee, and Judy Greer. It will be premiering in U.S. theaters on June 12.
