'Justice League' Movie Rumor: Darkseid will be Film's Main Villain
Despite the reported rift between Warner Bros. executives and director Zack Snyder, there is no stopping from "Justice League: Part 1" from taking shape. The upcoming DC movie already started filming in a London studio last month, and, this early, speculations as to who the league of superheroes will battle in the movie have already started floating.
According to Comicbook.com, it is very likely that "Justice League: Part 1" will feature Darkseid as the movie's major dark force that will put the combined powers of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg to the test. The entertainment website also notes that, with the death of Superman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," it is unlikely for "Justice League: Part 1" to feature a Superman villain in the movie, at least, while he hasn't resurrected yet.
Cinema Blend also claimed in its earlier article that Darkseid as the villain in "Justice League: Part 1" has already been hinted in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." It opined that the winged creatures that appear in Batman's dream sequence in the movie are actually the parademons that Darkseid sends if he wants to invade a place.

Despite another hint to Darkseid's appearance as the villain in the upcoming movie is the Omega symbol that likewise appears in Batman's dream in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," Comicbook.com reports that it is unlikely for the villain to appear in the first installment of the "Justice League" movie and will instead appear in "Justice League: Part 2." Rather, the first "Justice League" may feature Yuga Khan, Darkseid's father, whom the latter will eventually kill as a twist to "Justice League: Part 1" and a prelude to "Justice League: Part 2."
Nonetheless, with no confirmation on Darkseid as the main villain of "Justice League: Part 1," everything is just a speculation at this point in time. Apart from Yuga Khan and Darkseid, other DC villains that are suspected to be part of the movie are Mongul/Warlord and Cyborg Superman.
"Justice League: Part 1" is slated for a Nov. 16, 2017 release.
