Jesse Eisenberg took on the role of Lex Luthor in the previously released "Batman V Superman: Justice League." During an interview at the London Comic-Com, Eisenberg shared some details his involvement in the upcoming film.
The previous film showed Eisenberg's character, Lex Luthor Jr., defeated by Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill). However, the final scene of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" teased his possible involvement in the upcoming "Justice League" film.
He said, "I'm kind of in wait. They just started filming Justice League, so I'm kind of like waiting for my crack at it. I don't know what I'm allowed to say because I feel like there's probably some drone following me from DC and if I say anything wrong, I get, you know, picked off. "
Aside from his possible involvement, he also expressed his excitement in working with the actors who are joining him in bringing iconic DC characters to life. He said, "I think so. And I love it and I love everybody who's in it. You know, it's a really talented group of people."
Which 'Breaking Bad' Character Could Join 'Justice League'?
Meanwhile, there are fan theories that the role of Lex Luthor could be played by "Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston. Eisenberg took the role of Lex Luthor Jr., the son of DC's Lex Luthor. Since Eisenberg's portrayal of the character was not well-received, fans are hoping to see Cranston as the iconic DC villain.
According to Entertainment Weekly, director of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" Zack Snyder explained that they toyed with the idea of bringing an older portrayal of Luthor into the film.
He said, "We talked about the usual suspects that you would imagine; any actor who has been bald, probably. Bryan Cranston would have been great, right? And by the way, he's an amazing actor. Can you imagine how different the movie would be?"
There has yet to be any official updates on who the villain for "Justice League" will be.
