Bieber shared the same photo with his 15 million followers alongside the caption "New music #YMCMB."

In January the "What About Love" singer denied reports linking him to Gomez, who recently reconciled with Bieber. Mahone and Bieber are said to be focused on music and unfazed by tabloid gossip.

"They really respect each other's music," one insider told HollywoodLife.com.

"They work with a lot of the same producers and Justin knew Austin has been in the studio working on his album," the source went on. "Justin had a song he thought could be really perfect to do with Austin so they got together in the studio."

Gomez, 21, began dating Bieber in 2011 and while they split last year, they reunited in Texas last month which prompted a reconciliation. In January the "Come & Get It" singer and Mahone were allegedly spotted leaving the Beats Music concert at Los Angeles' Belasco Theatre which fueled dating rumors, however he insisted they are not romantically involved.

"Were just friends, she's really cool," Mahone told People magazine on Wednesday. "I mean, I think she's really pretty ... every time I'm in L.A., she's like, 'Hey you're in L.A., lets hang out!' So it's cool."

Bieber and Mahone also connected in the studio on Wednesday, but it is unclear when exactly they intend to release their new music.
