Justin Bieber Facing Lawsuit For Assault?

Justin Bieber may be facing legal trouble, after one man is alleging that the 19-year-old Canadian crooner used mixed martial arts on him.

Jose Osmin Hernandez Duran, a member of the paparazzi, claimed that he was taking photographs of Bieber and his on-and-off again girlfriend Selena Gomez when things turned violent. According to the lawsuit filed by Duran, Bieber became frustrated when he was attempting to leave a parking lot where the paparazzi was taking pictures and attacked Duran.

"(Bieber) delivered a martial arts-type kick ... in the lower rib cage on the left side of his abdomen," TMZ claims Duran's lawsuit against Bieber states.

The lawsuit also reportedly alleges that Bieber continued his attacks by striking the photographer in the face with his fist before pushing Duran against a parked car. While the singer later fled the scene, Duran claimed Gomez returned to look for her phone and apologize for Bieber's actions.

While it is unclear what type of payment the paparazzi is seeking to obtain from the lawsuit, this is not the first time Bieber's name is associated in negative media headlines. However, the singer has been receiving a great deal of support from his fellow entertainers.

Steve Harvey, the 56-year-old comedian and talk show host, took to his Twitter account to give Bieber some advice amid some recent media scrutiny.

"Hey @justinbieber keep loving the ones that love you," Harvey tweeted to Bieber last April. "Cause they help make us who we are..The rest can't break what they didn't build. SH."

Will Smith, the 44-year-old actor, made it clear that Bieber, his son Jaden's friend can always look to him for support.

"For me the most important thing was for him to know anytime he can call and I'll come whatever happens," Smith told Extra correspondent Angie Martinez at the premiere of "Free Angela And All Political Prisoners." "At that age that's what you need to know you can do what ya gonna do, but you have somewhere you can go, where you can find safety."

Chris Brown, Bieber's fellow singer, admitted that he had been praying for the Canadian crooner.

"I just pray for him, I pray for myself," Brown said on "The Breakfast Club" radio show earlier this year. "I think we both go through it because we're great artists. And he's a big artist to his fans and everybody around. He's like a baby Elvis."
