Justin Timberlake Says Kanye West Doesn't Understand Him

Justin Timberlake is not fully convinced that rapper Kanye West fully understands him after the two gentlemen exchanged slight verbal jabs earlier this year.

Timberlake, the 32-year-old singer-songwriter, recently opened up about his feelings concerning West, 36, during an appearance on Serius XM Shade 45 radio station's Sway In The Morning. West previously made negative mention of Timberlake's "Suit & Tie" despite the fact that the singer collaborated with the rapper's longtime mentor and friend Jay Z for the record.

"I got love for Hov, but I ain't (expletive) with that 'Suit &Tie,'" West told a crowd in London during a performance last February.

However, Timberlake told radio host Sway Calloway that he is not convinced is fully aware of who he is.

"I don't know that he fully understands what I can do, and that's ok… as a matter of fact, Jay said the same thing," Timberlake told Calloway recently.

The singer defended his song despite any criticism from West.

"At the end of the day, it's just music. I love Suit and Tie, it reminds me of the music I grew up listening to," Timberlake told Calloway. "I respect his opinion because I think he's a genius… but I don't share that opinion. It's just not a big deal… to do it at SNL too… it's not that big a deal. "

Timberlake referred to subliminally addressing West's comments during an appearance on "Saturday Night Live" last March.

Instead of singing the original lyrics to the song "(expletive) so sick got a hit and picked up a habit," Timberlake crooned, "My hit's so sick got rappers acting dramatic," while on SNL.

However, Timberlake insisted that he had no ill feelings toward West when he appeared on the "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" show.

"For the record I absolutely love Kanye. So there's that," Timberlake said before addressing the audience on Fallon. "We love Kanye, right?"
