Kailyn Lowry Avoiding Tattoos While Pregnant?
"Teen Mom 2" star Kailyn Lowry watched as her husband, Javi Morroquin, got more ink on his arm. However, she avoided having work done on her own tattoos since she is reportedly pregnant.
"She's not being tattooed while she's pregnant," tattoo artist Jesse Probus told Radar Online. "It's highly dangerous. It carries tons of risks that she is aware of and I made her aware of, and it will not be happening. I can't stress that enough."
"I'm not a doctor and I'm not qualified to say. It's medical advice, and I'm not legally allowed to say anything," the artist added. "All I know is that there's medical complications you can avoid. You can actually have a miscarriage and stuff like that because of it. There's millions and millions of things that could happen and it's one thing I wouldn't want to take a risk with or that she does either."

"The main concern with getting a tattoo during pregnancy is the risk of contracting an infection, such as Hepatitis B and HIV. Although the risk is small, it is recommended that you wait to get a tattoo until after your baby is born," the American Pregnancy Association posted on its website.
Lowry is reportedly pregnant with her and Morroquin's first child. The couple recently married and is focused on building their relationship and individual careers. Morroquin is leaving the Air Force and planning to return to civilian life with his wife.
Lowry and Morroquin's trip to the tattoo parlor was filmed as part of the upcoming season of "Teen Mom 2," which will likely air in the fall or early next year. Lowry was a single mom, raising her son Isaac with former boyfriend Jo Rivera. The parents were filmed as part of MTV's "16 & Pregnant," then went on to star on four seasons of "Teen Mom 2."
"They're overjoyed! When Kailyn told Javi, he cried," Kailyn's sister-in-law told In Touch Weekly. "Javi's whole family lives minutes away, and we're all happy to help her."
