'Kakegurui' Anime Spoilers: Yumeko to Face Kirari in Final Episode

Yumeko's goal of facing off with the student council president in a gambling match is finally happening on the next and final episode of the Japanese anime series, "Kakegurui." And between two compulsive gamblers with equally sly minds, who will ultimately win?

Kirari may have been shown in a previous episode boarding a helicopter at the top of the academy to head off to an undisclosed place. But this week's episode revealed that she might have been there all along, posing as the masked vice president, Ririka. Then again, could she really be Kirari?

The preview for the next episode, titled "The Woman Who Gambles Compulsively" teases an intense gambling match between Yumeko and Kirari riddled with flashback scenes of the student council members Yumeko has previously competed with.

What sides of the two gamblers will the upcoming match be revealing? Will Kirari reveal the nature of her supposed trip during the game and the reason why she ended up staying anyway and donning a mask to hide her face? Or could she be revealed to be a different person altogether?

On the other hand, Yumeko herself does have some secrets of her own. Will the upcoming final episode finally give fans a glimpse into the kind of life Yumeko leads outside of the four corners of the academy? What motivated her to love gambling as much as she does, and what's the driving force behind her deep interest in taking risks?

More importantly, will Yumeko finally be able to regain her status back at school, or will she instead end up being even lower than a house pet?

Fans speculate that the upcoming final episode may well leave things hanging in the ear as there seems to be a lot to cover in so little time. Could the series be planning for a second season? There is currently no official news regarding this matter.

Kakegurui airs on Saturdays at 10 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX and Saturdays late night at 2:38 a.m. JST on MBS. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official website
