Kansas City Chiefs vs Atlanta Falcons live stream (CBS TV schedule): Watch NFL 2016 football online (preview)

The Kansas City Chiefs and the Atlanta Falcons will do battle on Sunday, and with both of these two teams almost certainly set to make the Playoffs, this should be an intriguing clash to see where both teams stand just weeks before the postseason begins.

The game has a scheduled start time of 1 p.m. ET and takes place from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The game can be watched on TV on the CBS network or online through live stream (details below).

Coming into today's game the Chiefs are second in the hugely competitive AFC West with a record of 8-3. In almost any other division that would be enough to run away with the top spot, but with the Oakland Raiders on 9-2, the Chiefs at the moment would have to settle with a Wild Card spot in the postseason.

Worse still, things are not yet certain that the Chiefs will make the postseason, as the Denver Broncos are chasing them for that second spot, and they are just behind Kansas City with a 7-4 record coming into this weekend's games.

That means the Chiefs have very little room for any slip ups between now and the end of the season, and they will be hoping to win things out to make sure they see off the Broncos, and will also be hoping that by winning things out they can replace the Oakland Raiders at the top of the division.

If they can do that they will go into the Playoffs with a top two seeding spot, meaning they would receive a bye through the first round of the postseason.

However, they have a tough game today against the NFC South division leading Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons are top of their division despite having a worse record than the Chiefs, but still, the Falcons' 7-4 record is respectable, and gives enough evidence that today's game could go either way.

Atlanta also won't be giving an inch today as they are being chased by the 6-5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South, and the Falcons will want to try and make sure they see things out through December to claim the division title.
