Kanye West Has No Cell Phone? Kim Kardashian Contact Limited to Email
Kanye West reportedly does not own a cell phone, making it difficult for his pregnant girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, to contact him.
The "Mercy" rapper, 35, has been living in Paris since February, where he has been working on his upcoming album and Kardashian, who is seven months along in her pregnancy, reportedly finds it difficult to reach him as she lives in Los Angeles. West is said to be reachable only via email or via his representatives and this is said to be adding strain to the couple's relationship.
"He doesn't have a cellphone. You get in touch with him through email or someone on his team calls you and it's definitely causing some tension between the pair," a source told Life & Style magazine.
"Kim gets told by Kanye when she should call him in Paris, and sometimes it is a small window of time," an alleged family friend explained.
"Because of the time difference, she may be tired during that time, but to not miss the chance to talk to him, she actually sets alarms to wake up and call him," the source added.
For months the pair, who has been dating for over one year, has been bombarded with reports of a break-up after it was revealed that West has spent less than 30 days with Kardashian, 31, since she announced her pregnancy in January.
They are said to be at odds over their unborn baby's future with a report claiming they have been bickering more in recent weeks.
"Kanye is absolutely insistent that the baby will be raised in France, but Kim's refusing to let that happen. It's so important for her to be near her family and have the baby grow up around its aunts, uncles and cousins. There's no way she'll stop fighting Kanye on this," a source said.
A source claims the couple had prior arrangements to live in Paris temporarily, but the rapper has allegedly since had a change of heart.
"Kanye wants the baby born in Paris [but] he would love the baby to have dual citizenship," a source said regarding the possibility of citizenship in both the U.S. and France.
"They were supposed to spend just three months in Paris. Now he wants to move them permanently to Paris," the source added.
