Kanye West 'Nearly Killed Himself' by Walking Into Pole? (VIDEO)

Kanye West was photographed accidentally walking into a pole during an outing with girlfriend Kim Kardashian on Friday and a new report claims the incident could have been deadly.

The "Mercy" rapper, 35, was walking alongside Kardashian, 31, in Beverly Hills when a swarm of paparazzi approached them. West was left with a bloody mark on his forehead after the accident and a source says the rapper was injured because he was simply not paying attention.

"He had just nearly killed himself when he ran into that pole. He wasn't even looking where he was going because he was making sure Kim was alright," a source told HollywoodLife.com.

"He makes sure she's taken care of first before he worries about himself," the source added.

As West stood with his head in his hands, the paparazzi continued to take photographs, which set him off.

"He just went off. He's tired of being stalked everywhere he goes. He hates it," the source said.

Kardashian, who is seven months along in her pregnancy, recently admitted that her love for the media ultimately clashes with West's dislike for the press.

"We live different lives, but I love being open. That's who I've always been. That will never change because that is who I am. It does worry me when I think about it," Kardashian told Fabulous magazine.

Kardashian's mother Kris Jenner is said to be concerned about West's behavior, as the rapper is renowned for lashing out at the paparazzi. The Kardashian family, however, enjoys living in the spotlight.

"The incident in Beverly Hills last Friday when he walked into the street sign was just the latest in a string of issues that have concerned Kris," a source told RadarOnline.com.

"When they were in Paris, Kanye kept telling the paparazzi to leave him and Kim alone. But as a manager, Kris wants Kim and Kanye to be photographed; it's their gig," the source added.

Sources claim West's frustration with the paparazzi will only increase after the birth of his first child.

"It's only going to get worse when his and Kim's baby arrives. They need to back off now because when his baby is here, he's going to get more aggressive. Just watch," the source said.
