Kanye West News: Rapper Believes He Can Make the World a Better Place, Rants on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'
Kanye West declared that he has ideas that can make the human race better as he is a critical thinker who cares about others.
Kanye West believes that he can make the world a better place if only he had the resources. In his recent guesting on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show," Kim Kardashian's husband silenced the host and the audience as he delivered a sort of monologue that oozed with varying sentiments.
According to US Weekly, in his seven-minute monologue, West declared that he has ideas that can make the human race better as he is a critical thinker who cares about others. Citing that his father experienced living in homeless shelters, despite being a psychology major, and his mother being the first black female chairperson of the English department of Chicago State University, West stressed the fact that he was brought up to make a difference.
After substantiating his claim that he can make a big difference in the world, West went on venting out his sentiments on some other controversial issues, one of which was the Oscars controversy earlier this year, wherein the Academy was accused of playing blind to the talents of black actors and excluded them from its list of nominees for the second straight year. According to West, as per another US Weekly report, the showbiz industry has prevented the colored actors from excelling.
"Picasso is dead, Steve Jobs is dead, [Walt] Disney is dead. Name someone living that you can name in the same breath as them. We're one race, the human race, we're a blip in the existence of the universe and we're constantly trying to pull each other down. It's like I'm shaking talking about it, I feel I can make a difference while I'm here, I feel I can make a difference through my skill set," West said.
Further attempting to explain why he can make the world a better place, West talked about his musical talent. He revealed that he has a condition called synaesthesia, which makes him see sounds. With this condition, he claimed that anything related to sound that he makes is sort of a painting. Hence, he is equipped with the ability to see the importance for any person to experience a more pleasant life.
However, of all the points that West tried getting across to the audience, there is no denying that it was the last part that generated the loudest cheer from the audience as he said that he wants to be the "Michael Jackson of Apparel." For West, while fashion may not be a pressing issue as the environment, it can prevent bullying.
