Kate Middleton Baby: Duchess Gave Up Spray Tan, Caffeine, Cardio During Pregnancy?

Kate Middleton reportedly gave up caffeine and spray tanning as part of a bid to stay healthy throughout her pregnancy.

"[Kate] did not like the idea of not drinking coffee," a palace insider told Us.

Middleton, 31, is said to be a fan of St. Tropez self tanner and while she often has a beautician apply the sunless tanning spray at Kensington Palace, she reportedly stopped this procedure during her pregnancy due to the dangers of fumes. In a bid to maintain her physique whilst also ensuring the safety of her unborn child, Middleton allegedly swapped her high intensity cardio workouts for lighter workouts such as yoga.

"Kate has a yoga instructor visit her at the palace," a source previously said adding that she still goes on long walks every other day "just to increase her heart rate a little."

Prior to pregnancy, Middleton was always dedicated to grueling workouts in a bid to stay healthy. She and sister Pippa would often spend hours in the gym on a weekly basis.

"She works out for at least an hour a day and loves to stay slim and toned. She and Pippa use the gym all the time because it has great equipment and it's completely private," a source previously told Daily Mail. "She has even had [Princes] William and Harry doing crunches and press-ups."

As the world awaits the birth of the royal baby, who will be third in line to the throne, St James's Palace aides have confirmed that both Middleton and Prince William, 30, do not know the sex of their baby.

"[They] do not know and do not plan to find out the gender of the baby in advance," St James's Palace aides confirmed.
