Kate Middleton on Baby Names: 'It's Very Difficult'

Kate Middleton recently confirmed that while she and Prince William are undecided on baby names the couple has formed a list of potential names.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to the Quarriers Stopover Project in Glasgow, Scotland on Thursday where Middleton, 31, opened up about her pregnancy. She is currently six months along.

"We have a short list for both [boy and girl] but it's very difficult," Middleton said regarding baby names according to Us magazine. "My friends keep texting me names."

In December Jessica Hay, who once shared a dorm with Middleton at Marlborough College, claimed that Diana is Middleton's favorite name. She speculated that the royal couple would name their first child Diana should they have a baby girl.

"Funnily enough, Diana is a name Catherine has always loved," Hay told Australian magazine New Idea.

Another report suggested the couple may name their baby Elizabeth Diana Carole, which honors both Prince William's grandmother, the Queen, along with his late mother, Princess Diana. Carole was reportedly chosen to honor Middleton's mother, Carole Middleton, according to Marie Claire U.K.

Middleton, who insists she is yet to find out the sex of her unborn baby, was also more specific about her due date during her time in Scotland.

"It's around mid-July, but apparently babies have their own agenda," Middleton joked.

The baby name speculation comes weeks after it was claimed that the Duchess would break royal tradition by having a baby shower.

Victoria Arbiter, who is the daughter of former Queen Elizabeth II's press secretary Dickie Arbiter, previously confirmed that baby showers were not a part of Royal tradition. However an alleged friend of Middleton's claims that her younger sister Pippa is currently in the process of planning one.

"It was her sister Pippa's idea," the alleged friend told OK! magazine. The mom-to-be is hoping her husband Prince William's grandmother makes an appearance.

"While it's all going to be very relaxed and fun, Kate is hoping the queen will drop by because the two are remarkably close. They bonded big time and really enjoy each other's company. Since this is going to be a first for royals, Kate would love the queen to be part of it," the friend explained.
