Kate Middleton, Prince William Planning 'End of the Year' Pregnancy

Kate Middleton and Prince William, the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge, are said to be intent on conceiving their first child before the end of year, according to new reports.

The couple, who has been faced with pregnancy rumors since their April 2011 royal wedding, is said to be ready and eager to start their own family.

"William and Kate are putting all their effort into having a baby. They would love to be expecting by the end of the year," a member of the royal couple's social circle reportedly told Life & Style magazine.

"[Kate] just wants to hide away in Wales- out of the glare and the spotlight- and get on with producing the future king or queen of England," the insider added.

The news follows reports that both Middleton and Prince William, both at age 30, have even begun selecting baby names.

"If it's a girl her middle names will be Elizabeth after Will's grandmother and Diana after his mother," a source told Now U.K.

Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William's grandmother, has reportedly been pressuring the couple to have an heir because they have been married for over one year.

"The Queen's told Kate to make starting a family a priority. She's also told William not to let Royal duties get in the way of a family and his happiness," the insider explained.

Middleton was reportedly spotted with what onlookers described as a "baby bump" while shopping in west London during the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, although reports of a pregnancy have since been brushed off as rumors.

During a recent interview with renowned journalist Kate Couric, Prince William refused to confirm whether his wife is pregnant with the couple's first child, which only fueled the rumors. Critics, however, pointed out that it was the appropriate response for him to give because the couple's attempts to get pregnant are ongoing, thus leaving the possibility of a pregnancy open.

"You won't get anything out of me. Tight lipped," Prince William said. "I'm just very keen to have a family and both Catherine and I, you know, are looking forward to having a family in the future."
