Kate Middleton Twin Pregnancy Rumors Remain Despite Palace's Subtle Disclaimer

The rumor that Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, is pregnant with twins still persists, even after Kensington Palace issued a statement subtly denying the reports.

Recently, Life & Style published a front page feature that claimed Prince William and his wife, who is also known as Kate Middleton,"  were expecting identical twins. The tabloid's information was reportedly based on a "royals insider" who said the royal couple were shocked after finding out that they were having twins. However, this was not true, according to Gossip Cop, since they were only waiting for one baby.

The anonymous source of Life & Style went as far as short-listing names for the rumored twin baby girls, which included "Victoria, Alice, Olivia, Alexandra and Elizabeth." The tabloid added that the insider claimed that Queen Elizabeth II was also very excited after learning about the twins.

"[She wants the twins to] be seen as individuals and allowed to develop their own personalities," Life & Style reported. "The twins will sleep in separate bedrooms but will share a playroom with [siblings] George and Charlotte. Kate feels that it's important for her eldest two to bond with the newborns."

It can be recalled that in October, the official Twitter page for Kensington Palace posted an update that said: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in April 2018."

While Kensington Palace did not address the tabloid rumors directly, the obvious reference to having "a baby" can be taken as a subtle dismissal of the relentless rumor that the Duchess of Cambridge was pregnant with twins.

In September, Palace officials confirmed that Middleton was pregnant with their third baby. Unfortunately, she had to cancel several royal engagements at the time as she suffered from a rare pregnancy condition called Hyperemesis Gravidarum, which she also experienced in her earlier pregnancies.

Hyperemesis Gravidarum is known for causing pregnant moms severe nausea and vomiting leading to dehydration and weight loss.
