Kate Upton Accepts Prom Invite From Calif. Teen Jake Davidson

A California teen who posted a YouTube video asking model Kate Upton his high school prom got the answer he was hoping for when she sent him a message on Twitter.

The video, which has since gone viral, was made by 17-year-old Los Angeles high school student Jake Davidson. In the video, Davidson made a great attempt to convince Upton to attend his prom with a short film that incorporated different aspects of his personality.

The video was posted on Sunday and had already garnered tens of thousands of views by Wednesday, with many who had watched the video commenting on the teen's humorous nature.

"You're the ying to my yang, I'm Jewish, 5'9" on a really good day, and I can't dance at all," explained the teen in the 2-minute video. "You're Christian, 5'10" and that Cat Daddy video should have won an Oscar for best short film- you could say this is destiny," Davidson continued.

Davidson did get a surprise message from Upton, who wrote the teen on Twitter.

"You can call me Katie if you want! How could I turn down that video! I'll check my schedule," Upton wrote to Davidson.

The teen was thrilled that the Sports Illustrated cover model even responded to his request.

"You truly are incredible," replied Davidson on Twitter. "Just responding made my year, thanks so much. P.S. Hope your schedule is free!"

But the big surprise came while Davidson was appearing on the Today show and Upton phoned in to the show to personally speak with him.

"This just got so much better now that you're on the phone," Davidson told Upton, who replied: "You seem like so much fun and if everything works out, I'd love to go with you. I know we'd have a blast."
