Katy Perry Mansion for Sale: $7 Million for 3 Acres of Bridges and Lagoon Pool

Katy Perry has put the Hollywood Hills mansion that she initially purchased with ex-husband Russell Brand up for public sale.

The pop star has decided to sell one of the last things that appears to be linking her to her ex-husband Russell Brand. The couple finalized their divorce in July of 2012 after a nearly two-year marriage. The home was first purchased in June of 2011, just six months before the pair announced their official split, for $6.5 million.

The intent was to buy the home and remodel it before moving in, according to Yahoo. But plans for renovation were halted before they even began due to the unexpected split. Perry was attempting to sell the mansion quietly, the real estate site Zillow reported. But given her failed attempts, she has now publicly listed the mansion at $6.925 million.

The home was built in the early 1920s and boasts a "Mediterranean" feel, according to the listing company. Built on three acres of land, it has a total of 22 rooms which includes two full guest houses, a dining room, a recreation room, and a 2-story living room. Last restored in 1945, the Sunset Blvd. home also has a detached garage, which fits up to eight cars and a large "lagoon style" pool complete with a waterfall. Water that runs under bridges between the guest house also streams into the pool.

"The extent of the grounds is unmatched in the Sunset Strip," the Zillow site states in its ad. "This property defines 'Opportunity'!"

Perry recently split from John Mayer, who she began dating after her divorce with Brand was finalized. The singer's taste in men was questioned on Tuesday night by matchmakers on the new television sitcom, "Ready for Love."

"I just said, 'I don't even understand it,'" Amber Kelleher-Andrews, a professional matchmaker for the past 17 years told YourTango when asked about Perry's past relations. "I just felt that it was an unusual pairing, even with the obvious. We know he's player, we know they're both singers … But aside from that, I just really didn't understand where the connection was."
