Kelly Rowland Breaks Down at Concert, Sings About Abusive Ex and Beyonce

Kelly Rowland, one-third of the R&B group Destiny's Child, recently broke down in tears after revealing that an abusive relationship affected her relationship with friend and fellow group member Beyonce Knowles.

Rowland, 32, recently performed her new song "Dirty Laundry" in Silver Spring, Md., where she was brought to tears and struggled while singing some revealing lyrics about her past romantic union, according to celebrity blogger Necole Kane.

"Started to call them people on him, I was battered / He hit the window like it was me until it shattered," Rowland sang during the concert while breaking down in tears. "He pulled me out and said 'Don't nobody love you but me not yo mama, not your daddy and especially not Bey' / He turned me against my sister, I missed her."

While fans encouraged Rowland to finish her performance, the Christian singer has been vocal about the importance of her bond with Knowles, whom she grew up with.

Rowland reunited with her former group members earlier this year for a compilation album and performance at the 2013 Super Bowl. Although the group has yet to make plans for an entirely new record together, Rowland revealed that she is uniting Knowles and fellow group member Michelle Williams for her upcoming studio album which will also feature "Dirty Laundry."

However, Rowland insisted that the song is not a Destiny's Child record.

"It's not a Destiny's Child track, it's me featuring Beyoncé and Michelle," Rowland told Billboard magazine earlier this year.

The 32-year-old singer described the song as having a soulful sound. Rowland's group first reunited on a new song called "Nuclear" for the January Destiny's Child compilation album "Love Songs." Knowles, the 31-year-old Grammy Award winning singer and part of Destinys Child, grabbed the attention of 104 million viewers when her group reunited on the Super Bowl stage last February, according to Nielsen ratings.
