Kevin Hart, 'Mrs. Doubtfire' Remake: 'Jumanji' Actor Wants to Star in Another Robin Williams Classic

Kevin Hart would like a shot at another Robin Williams classic movie for his next project. After doing the "Jumanji" reboot, the actor declares he wants to star in the remake of "Mrs. Doubtfire" next.

The comedian eagerly talked about doing "Mrs. Doubtfire" in an interview with Cinema Blend. In the midst of promoting "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle," he and his co-stars were asked what other work from Williams' filmography would they like to tackle again, if given a chance.

"I'll stay on the Robin Williams train and say that if I could jump into 'Mrs. Doubtfire,'" Hart said. "That was a very amazing performance on both ends for him. I think that's one I'd love to get to play in."

Williams, who died in 2014, gave an unforgettable performance as the title role in "Mrs. Doubtfire" in 1993. The actor played a divorcee in the film and dressed up as British nanny to be always around his three kids from his estranged wife, which Sally Field played.

"Mrs. Doubtfire" was not only a funny film that showcased Williams' limitless talent. It was also a movie with a heart that showed a father's unrelenting love for his children.

A few years back, director Christopher Columbus, FOX and Williams talked about doing a potential "Mrs. Doubtfire" sequel. The project, however, didn't get off the ground because of Williams' untimely passing.

It remains to be seen if Hart's plans for "Mrs. Doubtfire" could materialize. A few days before Christmas, he and co-stars Jack Black and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will have to find out if the public likes their take on "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle." This film is a follow-up to Williams' 1995 blockbuster movie about a board game coming to life.

"We wanted to make sure that we paid homage to the late, great Robin Williams, make sure we did something very, very classy," Hart said about the "Jumanji" sequel in a recent appearance on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon.

"Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" opens in theaters across the U.S. on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
