Khloe Kardashian Excludes Intimacy as Reason for Remaining Married to Lamar Odom
Khloe Kardashian recently revealed her reasons for remaining married to her estranged husband, Lamar Odom, and she said intimacy is not one of them.
On Nov. 9, the 31-year-old reality star sat down with NBC News during a book signing event at the Grove in L.A. Khloe Kardashian, who is dating NBA star James Harden, explained why she is still married to embattled former basketball player Lamar Odom, according to Us Weekly.
"I'm still married for a multitude reasons," Us quotes Kardashian's statement to NBC News on Monday. "But intimacy is not one of them."
Kardashian was at the Grove for the release of her book "Strong Looks Better Naked." During her interview with NBC, she talked about the "bad timing" of some events in her life amid the health woes of her estranged husband. The two had previously filed for a divorce but they recently had the case dismissed, the report details.
Although Kardashian did not reveal her specific reason for calling off the divorce, she did say they did not need to rush the process. She explained that it was the smart thing to do at the moment, the Hollywood Life reports.
The reality star said she checks up on Odom every day at the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A., where he is being treated after a drug-fueled collapse in a Nevada Brothel early October. Kardashian said Odom is improving daily but he still has a long way to go before he recovers fully. He had miraculously hurdled past multiple strokes and near kidney failure and was blessed enough to be able to celebrate his 36th birthday last weekend, the report relays.
As of now, Kardashian is making sure that Odom remains focused on his slow walk toward recovery. She said Odom currently has no access to his cellphone, social media, and the news, so she only hands him positive and filtered information.
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom got married in 2009 but separated in December 2013. By July this year, they finally signed their divorce papers in Las Vegas, but had the process halted after Odom was found unconscious in Nevada last month.
