Khloe Kardashian Helping Stepdaughter After Emotional Tweets, Cutting Admission?
Khloe Kardashian has reportedly vowed to help her stepdaughter, Destiny Odom, following a series of alarming tweets recently posted by the teen.
The 14-year-old daughter of NBA star Lamar Odom and his ex-girlfriend Liza Morales reportedly admitted to cutting herself while expressing her pain on social networking site Twitter. Concerned critics are now questioning whether Destiny suffers from depression.
"I feel as If I am drowning in my own emotions, and I have no home to save me," Destiny tweeted on Jan. 27 as reported by Star magazine.
When asked about the last time that she cut herself and how often it occurs, she replied "Tonight and I don't count."
Destiny, who has a 10-year-old brother Lamar Jr., lives with her mother and is occasionally photographed spending time with Odom and Kardashian, his wife of four years. However Star claims that the teen is eager to spend more time with her father.
"Her dad wasn't around much when she was growing up," a source told Star. "But Khloe has made a real effort to develop a strong relationship with Destiny."
The family drama follows recent statements made by Morales who admitted that she is unsure whether Kardashian, 28, is good maternally.
"I don't know if she's good maternally, I don't know. As long as my kids are good, I'm good," Morales told the New York Daily News. "As long as my kids are taken care of and I haven't heard anything negative, then I'm good."
The mother of two, who is set to star in TLC's new reality TV show "Starter Wives Confidential," also acknowledged the constant comparisons to Kardashian. Some critics believe that the pair share a resemblance, but Morales disagrees.
"I'm 100% Puerto Rican and I was here first. I was here first, so she has a resemblance to me. I don't see it," she said. "We both have dark hair. We both have a cherub face. I don't think we look alike, but I have heard it. Imitation is a form of flattery!"
