Kid Rock 'Embarrassed' to Be Republican; Singer Slams Ticketmaster, Rolling Stones in Pre-Tour Rant (VIDEO)

Kid Rock is "embarrassed" to be a Republican. The rock star has made the announcement this week despite having been an outspoken supporter of presidential candidate Mitt Romney just months ago.

The musician is currently in the middle of planning a big tour in which it has been announced tickets will be sold for as low as $20. The cheap tickets come as part of a promotion by Kid Rock to help out those struggling in the current economic climate, and the singer has said he is willing to take a pay cut to give something back.

However, despite his good intentions there have currently been problems in implementing plans to keep ticket prices low due to ticketing fees as well as some states having outlawed paperless ticketing. Kid Rock has admitted that some of his problems are his own Republican Party's fault.

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Kid Rock has said, "That's one of the times I'm ******* embarrassed to be a Republican. It's ******* Republican lawmakers passing those laws, you *********. They already did it in New York and they're trying to do it in Michigan. I've even called some of those guys to try and stop it."

However, Republicans are not the only ones to blame according to Kid Rick, but also concert ticket retailer, Ticketmaster, has also been attempting to charge higher than wanted service charges.

"They're taking a ******* five-dollar service charge. It's 25 percent of the ******* ticket! That's ****** up, but I've beaten them up as much as I can. Then Walmart stepped in and agreed to charge just $20, and it includes parking."

He also took aim at the industry and bands itself for extortionate ticket prices in recent years. The Rolling Stones were highlighted by the popular musician: "The Rolling Stones are charging $650 per ticket! That just makes me speechless. I love the Stones, but I won't be attending."
