Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Split Rumors Prompted Kris Humphries to Settle Divorce?

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' divorce settlement came as a surprise to many fans on Friday and a new report claims to shed light on the real reason that the NBA star agreed to settle after adamantly refusing to do so for over one year.

The pair, who were wed in 2011, split after Kardashian, 31, filed for divorce just 72 days into their marriage. Humphries, 28, refused to sign divorce papers for 18 months as he insisted on getting an annulment based on fraud, however, a source sought to explain his sudden change of heart.

"Yes, he was angry at Kim for the way their marriage ended and he truly did feel defrauded by her and the show but lately, especially in recent weeks, he just feels sorry for her," an alleged from of Humphries told WetPaint.

"She's pregnant and obviously under a lot of stress. He didn't want to be part of it any more," the source added.

On April 3 it was claimed that Kardashian, who is currently six months along in her pregnancy, felt deserted by rapper Kanye West who has been living in Paris where he is said to be working on a new album since February.

The couple, who has been dating for over one year, has reportedly spent 18 days together since announcing they're expecting in January with the pregnant reality star being left in Los Angeles.

"She's telling friends that she's miserable in her relationship with Kanye because he's deserted her," a source close to Kardashian allegedly told In Touch magazine. "She knows she's probably going to end up as a single mom."

West, 35, has rarely been seen with Kardashian in recent months despite the pair previously being practically joined at the hip which has raised questions about their relationship status.

Meanwhile Humphries, who plays for the Brooklyn Nets, is said to be happy to put the divorce behind him.

"Kris and his family are excited to move forward and are grateful for all of the support they have received in this process," a statement obtained by RadarOnline.com reads.

"His commitment to the Brooklyn Nets and the team's incredible fans is his number one priority and he is excited to head into the playoffs tomorrow with this situation behind him," the statement added.
