Kim Kardashian, Kanye West will Wear Matching Crowns on Wedding Day? Rapper Thinks They're 'Royalty'

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will reportedly wear matching crowns on their wedding day as insiders claim they want a royal theme on their big day.

The Hollywood power couple are set to wed in Paris this summer and a new report claims they are hoping to outdo the 2011 royal wedding with their own lavish nuptials. West, who proposed to the reality TV star in October, reportedly insisted on wearing a jeweled head piece for the wedding and the rapper asked Kardashian to do the same.

"Kim and Kanye will be in handcrafted headpieces he commissioned for them ... He thinks he and Kim are royalty," a source told Us magazine.

Last month reports claimed West, 36, and Kardashian, 33, had been denied by the Palace Of Versailles officials after making a request to hold their wedding at the iconic French landmark and insiders say they are now eyeing the famous Chateau d'Usse. The pair reportedly also want legendary singers like Stevie Wonder to perform on their big day.

"Kanye wants it broadcast around the globe," another source told VH1's "The Gossip Table" about the upcoming wedding. "He wants it to be a National holiday, a day when everyone can take time off to celebrate the world's most famous couple."

Kardashian, who is reportedly working with a $30 million wedding budget, is said to be struggling with planning due to some of West's over-the-top visions.

"Kanye is obsessed with creating moments, like he did with the baseball-stadium engagement," a source told Life & Style magazine.

"Now he's working on all these huge surprises for the wedding, but as a result she has virtually no idea what is going to happen at her own wedding," the source explained. "She's been kept in the dark about a lot of the details, and that doesn't make her happy."

In addition to the stress of wedding planning, Kardashian and West are also dealing with renovations on their $11 million Bel Air mansion. The couple purchased the 14,000-square-foot home last year and gutted the entire property.

Kardashian reportedly "never wanted" the renovations, but West insisted on customizing the property.

"The house has a long way to go before they can move in. It's frustrating for Kim," another source said.

"He's a total snob when it comes to style, design and architecture ... he thinks nothing of changing direction midway and starting over," the insider said. "He's a control freak and flies off the handle when things don't go his way."
