Kim Kardashian Urging Kanye West to Attend Televised Baby Shower, Rapper Refusing?
Kim Kardashian is gearing up to celebrate her first ever baby shower this weekend and a new report claims her boyfriend, Kanye West, has refused to attend.
The reality TV star, 32, will reportedly be joined by close friends and family at her exclusive baby shower in Los Angeles on June 2 and while she allegedly urged West, 35, to make an appearance, the rapper has reportedly declined. The event will be filmed for the Kardashian family's E! reality TV show, which is believed to have influenced West's decision not to attend.
"Kanye wants their life with their first child to be out of the public eye. He would like the baby shower to be the first part of that, so doesn't want to be there while the cameras are rolling," a source told The Sun UK.

Kardashian, who is weeks away from her due date, allegedly asked the "Mercy" rapper to attend her baby shower to help refute the ongoing negative press surrounding their relationship. Reports claimed that West had initially agreed to attend, however it is now claimed that he has since had a change of heart.
"[Kardashian begged West] to stop by the baby shower which is taking place on June 2. The baby shower will be filmed for Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and he just doesn't want to appear on the show at all, period," a source previously told RadarOnline.com.
"Kim nagged him until he agreed when she said it would look really bad if he didn't show up. Kanye thinks it's silly to even go to the baby shower since he will be the only man there," the source had explained. "He will be there for less than ten minutes, tops. It was important to Kim that he go, so he agreed."
For years West has had a contentious relationship with the media and in recent months he has been more vocal about his disdain for paparazzi. In mid-May, West expressed his rage in a bizarre rant while performing at the Adult Swim Upfront party in New York.
"I'm trying to make some music that inspires people to be the best they can be. I don't want nobody to ask nothing else of me ... M------------ chasing you down, 'bout to make you crash and s---, and all they want is one n---- to laugh and s---," West said.
Kardashian, who is expecting her first child with West, has a completely different relationship with with media and she recently admitted that her differences with the rapper are worrying.
"We live different lives, but I love being open. That's who I've always been. That will never change because that is who I am. It does worry me when I think about it," Kardashian told Fabulous magazine.
"I'm definitely more of a recluse since I'm pregnant but I haven't necessarily decided to hold myself back, it's just preparing myself for respecting the privacy of my child and my boyfriend," she went on.
