Kim Zolciak Husband Injured; Reality Star Reveals 'He Will Be Back Stronger'

Kim Zolciak's husband, Kroy Biermann, was reportedly injured during an NFL match on Sunday and subsequently he will be forced to miss the remainder of the NFL season.

The defensive end for the Atlanta Falcons, 28, reportedly tore his achilles tendon during the second quarter of the team's game against the St Louis Rams. Biermann was ultimately placed on the Falcons' injured reserve list and Zolciak, 35, took to social networking site Twitter to support her husband, according to Daily Mail UK.

"My husband is incredibly strong & nothing will slow him down! Never has! Appreciate all the well wishes! He will be back stronger than ever!" Zolciak tweeted after the incident.

Biermann, who shares two sons with Zolciak, is in his sixth season with the Falcons and reports claim that so far he has raked in more than $9.2 million with the team. The injury, while tragic, will enable the NFL star to spend more time with his pregnant wife ahead of her due date.

"I'm having twins and I couldn't be more excited. I was completely shocked. I had no idea. It was a natural conception but twins do run in the family so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised," Zolciak told E!.

The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star already has two daughters from previous relationships, Brielle, 15, and Ariana, 9.

"I can't believe I am going to be a mom to six children, it's going to be very busy but it's a dream come true," she added.

Zolciak, who is yet to learn the sex of her unborn twins, is reportedly hoping to have her first biological daughter with Biermann.

"She's hoping for a girl," a source previously told InTouch magazine about Zolciak's fifth pregnancy.

Zolciak and Biermann, who celebrated his 28th birthday on September 12, tied the knot on Nov. 11 2011, and they are the proud parents of two sons, Kroy Jagger Jr., who was born in May 2011, and Kash Kade Biermann, born August 15, 2012, in addition to the reality star's daughters.

Shortly after the June 25 finale of Zolciak's Bravo TV spinoff series, "Don't Be Tardy," aired, she took to social networking site Twitter to reveal that Biermann had officially adopted her daughters.

"Am I not the luckiest girl in the world!!!!!!??? My girls @BrielleZolciak @arianazolciak are officially adopted by Kroy!!!!" Zolciak tweeted.

The Bravo TV star previously opened up about her daughters' relationship with Biermann. Although the NFL star is not their biological father, Zolciak revealed they are extremely close.

"They are crazy about Kroy. Half the time they go out to dinner and leave me at home, honey. He's really fantastic with my girls. I couldn't have asked for a better partner ever," Zolciak previously told People magazine.
