'King of Fighters XIV': 5th Trailer Reveals Three New Characters

SNK Playmore has a new "King of Fighters XIV" trailer to keep fans talking about its upcoming game. The new video confirms three new characters will be joining the fighting game's large roster.

"King of Fighter XIV's" fifth trailer (below) was released on Tuesday. With it, SNK Playmore teased fans with newly confirmed additions Benimaru Nikaido, Robert Garcia, and K, as well as glimpses of their respective gameplay.

Benimaru Nikaido and Robert Garcia are considered to be important cast members in the series. Meanwhile, K is viewed as a series mainstay.

The trio joins previously confirmed "King of Fighters XIV" characters. These include Angel, King, Ralf Jones, Kula Diamond, Billy Kane, Chang Koehan, Leona Heidern, Kyo Kusanagi, and Iori Yagami.

So far, "King of Fighters XIV's" confirmed playable characters total to 12. More character announcements should come in future. Gamers can expect both popular characters of the series to return and new fighters to join the roster.

Speaking of characters, "King of Fighters XIV" will have a total of 50 characters at launch. The series is known to have many fighters upon release so that shouldn't come as a surprise. Yasuyuki Oda, the game's battle director, previously confirmed that all 50 characters will be playable at the get-go. Whether or not more characters will be added after launch "has yet to be decided."

"King of Fighters XIV" is a Sony PlayStation 4 exclusive. The game is still under development, but SNK Playmore is targeting to release the title within the year. It has not provided a specific release date yet, however.
