'Kingdom Hearts 3': Is There a Hidden Meaning Behind Anniversary Artwork Recently Shared by Developers?

Previously released 'Kingdom Hearts 3' screenshots have hinted at features of the sequel

Details about "Kingdom Hearts 3" are not exactly abundant at this point in time, which explains why fans are looking for any clues that may be released by the developers.

This time around, the item being scrutinized by many fans is a special piece of artwork that was shared on the day of the franchise's 15th anniversary.

In the image, fans can see the familiar series protagonist Sora seated on an ornately designed chair with what looks to be some kind of crown resting atop his head.

As the International Business Times pointed out in a recent report, Sora being shown decked out in regal-looking attire is nothing new and it could be a clue that there is something more to him and that he may actually possess more power than what has been revealed thus far.

That certainly seems like an intriguing storyline for developers to build upon in the sequel, but at this point in time, it is at best an educated guess, but one that fans may want to keep in mind anyway.

If there is something of significance to be learned from the new piece of artwork, it certainly would not be the first time that developers used images to reveal things about the upcoming game.

For instance, there was one screenshot that showed Sora squaring off against what looks to be a particularly powerful enemy.

Last year, developers also shared two screenshots showing Sora using a new Drive Form known as the Guard Form inside the game.

Fans will definitely want to keep their eyes peeled for any other screenshots that may be released by the developers in the near future, as these too could contain some interesting details.

No exact release date is currently known for "Kingdom Hearts 3," but more news about the game should be shared in the weeks and months ahead.
