Kirstie Alley, Leah Remini Feud Escalates: 'She's a Bigot and my Enemy,' Alley Says

Actress Kirstie Alley is no longer a fan of former friend, and Scientologist, Leah Remini. Alley has previously spoken about her feelings towards Remini after the latter left the Church of Scientology, but in a new interview, held nothing back.

"First of all, I just want everyone to know: I have hundreds of friends and people that I know that have come into Scientology and left Scientology. You're not shunned; you're not chased. All that's just [expletive]," Alley told host Howard Stern after being asked about her feelings toward Remini.

Remini and her family chose to leave the controversial organization after several years. She has made no secret of the reasons why and has become somewhat of an activist for those who choose to leave the Church. The actress most recently appeared on "Dancing With the Stars," like former friend Alley, and currently stars on TV Land's "The Exes."

"When you are generalizing and when your goal is to malign and to say things about an entire group… when you decide to blanket statement 'Scientology is evil,' you are my enemy," Alley added. "I have her blocked on Twitter because she's a bigot. It's not selective. I just won't have people in my life that are that… if somebody's sitting there badmouthing your religion and saying that it's hideous and evil, that's not going to be your friend."

The former friends have reportedly not seen one another in seven or eight years due to work schedules, and Alley is not keen to have a reunion of any sorts. She even said that she would not appear on "DWTS" since Remini had also been on the show. Alley is busy working on her new series, "Kirstie," which is also a TV Land production that debuted on December 4.

"Kirstie" features Alley, Michael Richards of "Seinfeld" fame and Rhea Perlman of "Cheers," along with Eric Petersen. The show airs Wednesday nights on TV Land.
