Kobe Bryant Divorce: Vanessa Sold $3 Million Mansion Prior to Reconciliation (VIDEO)

Kobe Bryant and wife Vanessa's marriage was on the rocks just months ago, however, they reconciled their differences and canceled their divorce proceedings. But it has since been revealed that their messy near-divorce did cost them a lot after all - their $3 million mansion.

According to Radar Online, Vanessa sold the 6,000-square-foot mansion that Kobe gave to her during the initial proceedings for roughly $3.22 million when it closed in mid-January, meaning their canceled divorce proceedings resulted in them losing their mansion.

Even more alarming for the couple the mansion was originally listed for $3.75 million, but Vanessa allowed the residence go for just $3.22 million - more than half a million dollars less than the original list price.

Just days after the mansion was sold, Vanessa and Kobe decided that they would give their marriage another go, and canceled their divorce proceedings.

According to reports, because the mansion was given to Vanessa as part of the divorce proceedings the $3 million profit will essentially belong to her.

The couple bought the mansion, which was built in 1999, in 2003 for about $1 million, and Vanessa's mother, Sofia, has lived in the estate since January, according to celebrity news website TMZ.

It has also been reported that the couple's original family home was purchased for $4 million in 2002 and another home that Kobe owns the title to was purchased for $9.4 million in 2008.

After a turbulent time in their marriage, Vanessa filed for divorce in December 2011, citing "irreconcilable differences," and that had appeared to be the end of their marriage.

However, more than a year after she first filed for divorce the couple announced that they would be canceling their divorce proceedings and getting back together: "We are pleased to announce that we have reconciled. Our divorce action will be dismissed. We are looking forward to our future together," the couple said in their statement.
