'Kona' Release Date News: Intense Detective Game Coming on March 17 in Full Version

A year after it was first made available on Steam Early Access, the intense detective game "Kona" is finally done incubating and is ready for its official launch. But what is this game all about?

According to the official description, the game takes place in Northern Canada in the year 1970 when a strange blizzard wreaks havoc and destruction on the Atamipek Lake. The player will then control a detective, who strolls around the quiet and eerie village to investigate mysterious and surreal happenings while fighting the frigid environment and other natural elements lurking about. It is a mystery survival game that promises a chilly, interactive gameplay experience, which will stick in the player's mind long after the game is done.

This title is said to be the first in a series of four and features a vintage look and feel, capturing the charms of the 1970s rural setting. The game will consist of four acts, and each act can be played for two to five hours depending on the player's style and dedication to the game.

"Kona" was launched with an Early Access edition to help the debut game developers improve the game, fix bug issues, add more encounters, and provide more language options to accommodate the needs of a wider audience. The players' feedback on the game has helped them polish the title for a full –fledged worldwide release happening on March 17 for PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles.

While Early Access provides only about two to three hours of game play, the full version can run from four to eight hours, depending on the player's preferences.

Also, in a reply to a comment on their Facebook page, the developers have confirmed that "Kona" will solely be a downloadable game for now. They are still deliberating on whether or not they will eventually release a boxed version in the future.
