'Kong: Skull Island' News: Warner Bros. Releases Action-Packed Final Trailer

Warner Bros. has released the final trailer for "Kong: Skull Island" ahead of its March 10 premiere. The clip features tons of action sequences as well as new scenes showcasing the different characters that make up the ensemble.

Spanning almost three minutes long, the trailer starts off with a heart-stopping action scene involving the mighty King of the Island himself, Kong. He battles the attacking skullcrawlers, as they are called by John C. Reilly's character, before letting out a loud roar.

The body of the trailer itself features a rhythmic sequence that begins peaceful enough. Fans get a glimpse of Tom Hiddleston's character, James Conrad, being recruited for the mission by John Goodman's Bill Randa. It is clear that James knows the expedition is dangerous as he is uncertain that they will even make it out alive--something that unsettles Corey Hawkins' Houston Brooks.

Soon enough, they encounter the monstrous Kong while exploring the island on helicopters. They start attacking the beast, but this immediately backfires as Kong fights back and many die in the ensuing chaos.

The trailer also features the connection Kong makes with Brie Larson's Mason Weaver, a war photographer.

In February, Larson expained her relationship with the mighty beast while speaking to Nerdist.

"Because of her feminine energy I feel like she is a little further ahead in having an interest and respect for nature, and immediately clocks that this is not about man overcoming this creature but working with it and really begins to appreciate it," she said. "Through that she has a closer, more loving, and intimate relationship with Kong than with those that are just kind of bulldozing into it."

In pop culture, King Kong has always been associated with taking a damsel in distress in his hand. Based on the trailer, it looks like "Kong: Skull Island" will be no different, and Mason's connection with the beast ultimately drives him to save her.

"Kong: Skull Island" premieres on March 10.
