Kristen Stewart Doing Fine: First Red Carpet Appearance Since Rupert Sanders Affair
Kristen Stewart is "doing fine" according to the young actress as she made her first red carpet appearance since the scandal about her affair broke.
The "Twilight" actress was at the Toronto International Film Festival this week and was given a warm welcome by the locals. Many of them shouted out to her, "Kristen, we love you!" as she made her way through crowds.
When asked how she was doing, the actress simply replied, "I'm fine," according to The Associated Press.
She did not refer to former long term boyfriend Robert Pattinson or the scandal that had engulfed the two of them since she was photographed in intimate embraces with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders.
Stewart told Reuters at the event that the support from fans was "amazing" and that she was thankful "to know that everyone is here."
Stewart was at the film festival to promote her new film "On the Road" and took part in a Q&A following the screening of the new movie. She said that playing "Marylou" in the film was challenging, especially portraying the emotional side of the character.
Kristen Stewart has been featured in an interview with British Vogue for the magazine's October issue. The Twilight actress speaks on numerous topics but is rumored to have avoided talking about the affair scandal that has overwhelmed her the past month since she cheated on long term boyfriend Robert Pattinson with director Rupert Sanders.
Stewart has spoken about "struggling to play it cool in Hollywood" and that she is "not that smooth."
The 22 year old actress says in the interview: "I know if you haven't thought about how you want to present a very packaged idea of yourself then it can seem like you lack ambition. But, dude, honestly? I can't."
She added, "People expect it to be easy because there you are, out there, doing the thing that you want and making lots of money out of it. But, you know, I'm not that smooth. I can get clumsy around certain people. Like if I were to sit down and think, 'OK, I'm really famous, how am I going to conduct myself in public?' I wouldn't know who that person would be! It would be a lot easier if I could, but I can't."
Meanwhile Robert Pattinson's sisters have made it clear they are not happy with Stewart and what she has put their brother through. They reportedly are not supportive of the actor reuniting with Kristen Stewart.
"Once a cheater, always a cheater," Lizzy and Victoria Pattinson allegedly warned.
"Robert's sisters were fuming with Kristen for hurting their brother in the way she did," a source told Radar Online.
"They've told him that there's no way he can take Kristen back after what she did to him," the insider continued. "It's a case of once she's cheated, what's to stop her doing it again and Lizzy and Victoria are pretty unforgiving over Kristen's actions."
"Instead, they believe Robert should embrace singledom, throw himself into work and not consider settling down with anyone until he's ready," the source said of the sisters' feelings. "They will kill him if he gets back with Kristen."
But despite his sisters' advice, Pattinson recently started talking to Stewart again. Other reports suggested that Pattinson both missed his ex and also "felt sorry" for her because the public has been harsh in regards to the cheating scandal.
