'Kung Fu Panda' News: DreamWorks Reveals Official Trailer

DreamWorks Animation has finally released the official trailer for "Kung Fu Panda 3" and it looks like the movie will be packed with not just adventures of a father-and-son tandem but some hilarious scenes too.

The first two chapters depicting Po's adventures were filled with action, adventure, humor, and some drama, which allowed for both to become two of the most critically acclaimed animated movies of all time.

In the trailer released on Tuesday, Po (Jack Black) is faced with two challenges as his father brings him to the Panda Mountain where he is introduced for the first time to a pack of pandas just like him.

The first challenge is to fight a supernatural villain who has come back to redeem himself and the second challenge is probably the hardest. The villain has destroyed Master Shifu's (Dustin Hoffman) temple and is advancing toward the secret abode of his new panda family.

As his master put it, Po should now face the life of a teacher instead of a student as he will have to teach his pack to fight in order to save their community. With the help of his friends and his newly trained family, he will battle the villain Kai, who is set to destroy not only him but the entire panda family.

According to Coming Soon, Angelina Jolie will be back to reprise her role as the voice actor of the Tigress. Lucy Liu (Viper), Seth Rogen (Mantis), and the great Jackie Chan (Monkey) will also return to lend their voices for the third installment.

The previous movies in the franchise have raked in not only Academy Awards nominations but also loads of cash for DreamWorks Animations. The two put together has reportedly generated about $1.3 billion worldwide.

It is unclear what other twists would make the plot much interesting that what was already revealed in the trailer, but fans might as well get inside cinemas once "Kung Fu Panda 3" releases all around the world on Jan. 29, 2016.
