Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump: Real Reason Pair Won't Reconcile Revealed?

"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" stars Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump will not be making up anytime soon, as a new report claims to have uncovered the real reason for their fallout.

The former best friends were often at the center of drama during season three despite previously being inseparable during past seasons. While Vanderpump, 52, has openly blamed Richards' alleged disloyalty for their rift, some believe that their problems are much deeper.

"Kyle and Lisa's relationship will never be repaired and it's more than just the stuff you see on the show," a source told HollywoodLife.com.

"Kyle and her husband (Mauricio Umansky) shot a pilot of sorts for a spinoff show based around his real estate business at the same time Lisa was shooting Vanderpump Rules. They were in competition, from what I understand, because the network wanted to to add a spin off from the Beverly Hills franchise and decided to put Lisa and Kyle to the test," the source revealed.

"Vanderpump Rules" first began airing on the Bravo TV network in January and so far the show has been a great success. Insiders claim that the show has been renewed for a second season and Richards, 44, is said to be envious particularly because her pilot was never picked up.

"I think that hurt Kyle's feelings a bit, because she wanted that for herself and for her husband. That would have been great for his business and they even tried to highlight his real estate success when they shot an episode of Housewives in downtown L.A.," the source explained.

"These girls will smile in each other's faces and pretend to care about one another - that's why you see Kyle crying at the drop of a dime. But there's so much competition and cattiness going on, it's scary," the insider added.

During the season three reunion show special tensions reached new heights when the ladies confronted one another. Vanderpump, who is currently a contestant on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars," accused Richards of having friendships that are simply business transactions.

Vanderpump believes Richards sided with former "housewife" Adrienne Maloof during group disputes simply because her husband Mauricio Umansky wanted to sell the socialite's $26 million mansion.

"For her to say that is ridiculous it was a low blow!" Richards reportedly told In Touch Magazine. "Lisa has never let go of the fact that I didn't defend her on the reunion last year. I'm still being punished one year later for not jumping in."
