'L.A. Noire' News: Rockstar Brings 4K Mode to the Game

Rockstar Games is bringing a 4K mode for "L.A. Noire," as well as launching the game in three new gaming platforms.

A new trailer for "L.A. Noire" — the detective action-adventure video game set in Los Angeles in 1947, where players have to solve cases as a member of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) — was released by Rockstar, showcasing the game running in 4K resolution.

According to Gamespot, the 4K version will be playable on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, with a native output of 1080p on the standard PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For patrons of "L.A. Noire" to fully appreciate the new trailer, they will have to watch it in 4K resolution mode.

A bonus that will come from the re-launch of "L.A. Noire" this coming November, is that there will be a bundle that includes all of the game's downloadable content expansions.

Meanwhile, a version will of the game will also be made for HTC Vive. The package will be called "L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files," which will include seven cases that have been selected for virtual reality (VR) mode.

Although the re-launch of "L.A. Noire" will arrive on new consoles, the game is still not available on PC, Forbes notes. However, there might be a way around it now that the game will be made available on HTC Vive.

PC gamers can play "L.A. Noire" in VR using the HTC Vive. However, only a few chapters will be available, which will not give the complete gaming experience of "L.A. Noire."

Although PC fans of Rockstar Games are hoping for "L.A. Noire" to come out on PC, they are not known to release versions of their games in that certain console.

"L.A. Noire" is available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows. Meanwhile, the 4K versions will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch this coming Nov. 14.
