LA Lakers Trade Rumors, News: Future for New NBA Season Looking Bleak?
During the summer free agency season, the Los Angeles Lakers have been quite busy building up their team in preparation for the upcoming NBA season, however, some are now casting doubt on how well the Lakers are shaping up for the coming season.
The Lakers may have lost LeBron James to the Cavaliers there are still a lot of free agency options that they could go to. Names like Jordan Crawford, Michael Beasley, and Chris Douglas-Roberts still find themselves without a home. Even Eric Bledshoe is still in the market despite rumors of him joining the Phoenix Suns.
The team has definitely signed a few potential star players like Jeremy Lin, Carlos Boozer, and Ed Davis but these players were hardly the ones that Lakers fans have been waiting to see.
That has led some experts and enthusiasts to tout that the team may not really make that much of an impact or break through in the new season.
Big names in the NBA have already found homes like Kevin Love with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Carmelo Anthony with the New York Knicks.
Their loss in not being able to snatch James from the Cavaliers has hurt the Lakers prospects so bad that it is unlikely that Kobe Bryant will be able to carry the team to the NBA Playoffs this year, according to some skeptics.
It is still unclear on whether the Lakers have any other big names they are looking to pursue, and with the new NBA season looming over the horizon they are in danger of putting on another mediocre season.
