Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney Engaged News: Heart-Shaped Engagement Ring on Instagram

Lady Gaga and her boyfriend, Taylor Kinney, are engaged. The couple celebrated their engagement with the singer's parents at their Manhattan eatery, Joanne Trattoria, on Valentine's Day.

Eyewitness and Times Herald Record executive editor Barry Lewis tells Us Weekly told Us Weekly that he was dining at the restaurant when Lady Gaga and Kinney broke their engagement news to her parents. He also said that the happy couple were not attempting to keep anything secret and celebrated the news at the restaurant's bar.

"Gaga and Taylor were hanging out at the bar and Taylor looked kind of sheepish, like almost any guy would be, where he's with his future in-laws and she's showing off the ring," said Lewis. "They were like any other couple— she's showing off the ring and the dad is popping champagne and the groom-to-be is seeming somewhat nervous by all the excitement."

After Us Weekly broke the news, the "Born This Way" singer shared a snap of her heart-shaped diamond ring on Instagram on Monday, Feb. 16. She captioned it, "He gave me his heart on Valentine's Day and I said YES!"

Kinney also took to Instagram to confirm the news and posted a picture of him with his fiancée. He captioned the picture, "she said YES on Valentine's Day."

In November 2013, Lady Gaga told Ellen DeGeneres that Kinney is her soul mate.

"He's a hidden weirdo," the singer said. "He is extremely strange, actually, and we complement each other's weirdness. That's actually one of the first things he ever said to me. It's a Dr. Seuss quote, that you find in someone else a 'compatible weirdness.'"

The pop star has also been very vocal about marrying the "Chicago Fire" actor for some time. During an interview with Howard Stern, she said that Kinney was "the right guy."

"How do we know? It's this feeling," said Lady Gaga.
