Lady Gaga Forced to Postpone European Tour Due to Severe Pain

Lady Gaga has postponed the European leg of her "Joanne World Tour" because of severe physical pain.

The "Million Reasons" singer is taking a short break to recover from her physical pain, according to reports. As a result, a portion of her world tour has been postponed.

In a statement on the promoter's website, Live Nation noted that the part of the tour has been pushed back to 2018. It was initially scheduled to start Sept. 21 in Barcelona, Spain, and wrap up on Oct. 28 in Cologne Germany.

"Lady Gaga is suffering from severe physical pain that has impacted her ability to perform," reads the statement. "She remains under the care of expert medical professionals who recommended the postponement earlier today."

The pop icon is also said to be "devastated" that she will have to wait to see her fans in Europe. Gaga will reportedly spend the next seven weeks working with her doctors to recover and get back into top shape.

Gaga, 31, suffers from a chronic pain condition called fibromyalgia. Last week, she confirmed on social media that she was hospitalized. The blonde beauty also clarified that her condition is not a simple "hip pain or wear and tear from the road."

The pop diva's fight against the condition will be explored in her new documentary, "Gaga: Five Foot Two," which premieres Sept. 22 on Netflix. In a new trailer, Gaga is seen being mobbed by several fans. One scene shows her crying in bed, while another features Gaga receiving medical attention.

Aside from offering a glimpse of her personal life, the new documentary also explores Gaga's work on her latest album "Joanne" and her acting stint on "American Horror Story: Roanoke."
