Lady Gaga News, Update: Singer Says She Is 'Getting Stronger Every Day' and Looks Forward to Hitting the Stage Soon
Weeks after breaking the news that she has been suffering from a severe chronic pain condition known as fibromyalgia, singer Lady Gaga has assured fans that she is "getting stronger everyday."
In her recent tweets, she wrote that she misses her Little Monsters and that she "can't wait to get back on stage" and "hit the piano again runnin'."
Lady Gaga recently called off the European leg of her "Joanne" world tour due to her continued struggle with fibromyalgia, a condition that causes tenderness and pain in the muscles and deep tissues.
As The Guardian explains, individuals who have the condition also suffer from severe fatigue, broken sleep, psychological distress and mental lethargy.
In the Netflix documentary "Gaga: Five Foot Two," which followed the "Born This Way" singer's journey to the Superbowl halftime show early this year, it is revealed that her fibromyalgia was triggered three years ago when she sustained a broken hip while on tour.
Despite recovering from this initial injury, Lady Gaga's pain appears to have spread through her whole body in the months that followed, which is the usual case with patients who suffer the chronic pain syndrome, per the abovementioned publication. This is why her Little Monsters are very happy to hear that the singer's condition is improving.
A few days ago, Lady Gaga also gave a shoutout to fellow singer Beyonce on Instagram for her thoughtful gesture of sending her an Ivy Park sweater:
Not having a good pain day. Thank you honey B for sending me this comfy sweatshirt. Keeps me warm outside in a hammock so I can be [with] the trees, and the sky, and the sun and take deep breaths. Feel so lucky to have so much love.
Fans have also been nonstop in sending Lady Gaga messages of love and support, hoping that she could soon get back on her feet.
