Professor Layton's Daughter Takes Over in Level-5's Latest Game
Professor Hershel Layton's daughter, Katrielle Layton stars in the latest Level-5 game called "Lady Layton: The Conspiracy of King Millionaire Ariadne."
The "Lady Layton: The Conspiracy of King Millionaire Ariadne" game was first announced during Level-5's Vision 2016 event. The game will be playable on 3DS, Android and iOS and is expected to be released in Spring 2017 in Japan and in the west.

It seems Professor Layton, the star of the previous franchise titles, has gone missing. Naturally, together with her passion for solving mysteries and incidents, Lady Layton has taken it up to herself to become a detective to find her dad.
According to Gematsu, Lady Layton is described as being a "jack-of-all-trades" kind of detective. She will take high-profile cases to even the most bizaare of jobs. It is reported that Lady Layton has bizaare ways of finding answers to the cases she handles.
Much like how Professor Layton had Luke to go around with him in his detective work, Lady Layton has a talking dog named Sharo. Lady Layton's canine sidekick is good at helping her solve puzzles, according to GameSpot.
Professor Layton puzzle designer, Akira Tago, was replaced by Kuniaki Iwanami after the former's passing, IGN reported. Lady Layton and its characters are voiced by Japanese voice talents including Kasumi Arimura, Koji Yakusho, Kentaro Sakaguchi, Meisa Kuroki and many more.
The Lady Layton theme song will apparently be sung by a famous J-artist but there are currently no official announcements to confirm the singer's identity.
The last game from the Professor Layton franchise in 2013 was "Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy."
Who is Lady Layton's Mother?
With the news of Lady Layton being released next year, hardcore fans and gamers are naturally curious to know who Lady Layton's mother is. There have been speculations that Kat's birth mother has appeared in the previous titles.
One of the most suitable candidates would be Katia Anderson from "Diabolical Box" simply because she and Professor Layton had hit it off somewhere along the franchise. Lady Layton's first name, Katrielle, could also be taken from Katia's name.
