Larry King Joins Russia Today to Air New Political Show
Former longtime CNN personality Larry King joined Russia Today's American network to present a new show, "Politics with Larry King," next month.
After retiring from television in 2010 after 25 years on CNN, this will be his venture back into televised programming, and it promises it will be a "mold-breaking political talk show," The Telegraph U.K. said.
"I have always been passionate about government and issues that impact the public, and I'm thrilled at the opportunity to talk politics with some of the most influential people in Washington and around the country," King said in a statement.

The 79-year-old has a career spanning 56 years, and boasts at carrying out more than 50,000 interviews since his humble beginnings in radio.
Russia Today has been mired in criticism due to many feeling it is a propaganda extension of Vladimir Putin's government.
RT was happy to be "using his [King] authority to give a chance to hear voices other media ignore," which is something the broadcaster prides himself in.
"I have interviewed every U.S. president since Nixon," he said in his statement. "I appreciate the importance of providing a platform to those with real alternative visions for our country's future."
Ora.tv will be producing the program, which is to start in June. They also carry "Larry King Now," which was only on Hulu and Ora.tv starting in the summer of 2012. Both programs will be exclusively aired on Russia Today as well as the online formats although they are filmed in Los Angeles, reported RT.com.
"Whether a president or an activist or a rock star was sitting across from him, Larry King never shied away from asking the tough questions, which makes him a terrific fit for our network," says RT's Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan.
