Laser League Field Test Free Code This Weekend

"OlliOlli" creators, Roll7, will run a field test over the weekend for an up-and-coming futuristic sports video game "Laser League." And 500 codes are currently up for grabs —all for free.

"Laser League is running a field test, which is kind of like a beta, this weekend, until 3 a.m. on Sunday, and we've got some free codes for you to give it a try," the team said in a statement.

It is to be noted that the giveaways will only be for this weekend's field test and will not be for the actual game. The code will also only work for PCs on Steam. Hence, it will not work on consoles. Developers, however, recommend playing the game with an Xbox controller.

For the uninitiated, "Laser League" is a Tron-like arena battle where two teams fight to survive amidst a stadium filled with deadly neon lasers and more. To win, teams must use the arena to their advantage. A plethora of classes and power-ups will be available for players to use.

Gamers who want to participate simply have to check out this website, and click on the "get code" button found below the statement. Once clicked, the code should then appear.

To redeem the key, players have to launch steam and log into their account. Once in, they should access the games menu and click on "activate product" on Steam. A set of instructions will then be shown, which players should follow.

There are only limited slots so players should rush if they want to join the field test. The codes will be given on a first come first served basis.

Since it is a field test, players should expect to encounter lag issues and latency. The field test is already live and will run until Sunday, Oct. 29 at 3 a.m.
