Latest 'Hunter x Hunter' Hiatus Might Only Last for a Few Months
Series creator Yoshihiro Togashi has hinted that the manga may resume before the end of the year
It is time once again for fans of the "Hunter x Hunter" manga to exercise their patience as the series has gone back on hiatus. But before they sink down into a pit of manga-less despair, there is some hope that the content drought will not last for that long.
Though the announcement of the hiatus itself is proving to be quite disappointing for many fans, series creator Yoshihiro Togashi did offer some hope as well.
As Comicbook.com reported, Togashi also revealed in a recent issue of Shonen Jump that the plan was to bring the manga back by the end of the year.
Ordinarily, word of a series or manga going on break for even just a few months is going to be disappointing. But if this latest "Hunter x Hunter" hiatus really is only going to last until the latter part of the year, then there will likely be many happy fans.
That is because this particular series is known for going on breaks frequently, so much so that fans have come to expect them. It is not just the frequency of the breaks that has affected the manga, as some of them have also lasted for extended periods of time.
A two or even three-month hiatus would be relatively short compared to the breaks that fans have had to deal with in the past.
It is worth noting though that not all fans have made peace with yet another hiatus having taken effect.
There are fans on the r/HunterxHunter Subreddit that are unhappy with Togashi taking such frequent breaks, while others have learned to accept that as the price of getting quality content.
Hopefully for fans, this latest hiatus really will not last for that long, and the series will indeed come back before the year wraps up.
More news about "Hunter x Hunter" should be made available soon.
